id only wear one if you recently suffered from a neck injury. otherwise no, you'd look like an idiot.

hmm, i cant see the link for some reason,. but if its one of the proper ones, then id say dont get it, they take the strees from your neck, but put ALOT more onto your collerbone, making that more liable to break- even worse if youve suffered collerbone injuries before..

yeh i was going to post that, but it was too much effort.
quoting is much easier.
so pretty much, small crashes that wouldnt do damage to your neck may end up breaking one, or sometimes both, of your collarbones.
All the force goes through your neck as you cant move it and then, goodbye collarbone!

Some of my mates who race use proper neck ones.. but thats because when you go over the bars in a rock garden you can get your head stuck between rocks etc.. broken collarbone > broken neck.

true, but, chances are (except top level) breaking collarbone is much more likely than broken neck!
but yep, entirely up to you, if you think it will make you feel safer- get it- it dont matter what you look like!

a collar bone is designed to break, its like a crumple zone for your neck.

the only thing the neck roll would be good for really unless you are ripping hard, would be as you said for the helmet cam, but you got to think to yourself is it worth it?

neck rolls increase injuries as your helmet can slip over them increasing exstension of the neck.

Neck braces dont cause much more impact on your collarbonee. I tried one on and it felt fine. But they are around £200 so not really worth it unless your races loads.
